Create The Space – Community As A Service
Create The Space, founded by executive coach and strategy consultant Denzel Herrera-Davis, is an Oakland-based wellness initiative dedicated to “Rehumanizing Black” by investing in Black men and elevating community support networks. Operating under the innovative model of “Community As A Service,” the project delivers tailored 1:1 coaching, structured group workshops, curated programming, and strategic resource alignment to individuals, community organizations, and corporations. The core mission of the initiative centers on destigmatizing and prioritizing Black male mental health and wellness. By utilizing the power of shared vulnerability to facilitate healing, connection, and long-term personal growth, the program leverages both deeply rooted lived experiences and innovative technologies to bring mental health awareness and care directly to the forefront of community access.
Project Empowerment
The Project Empowerment initiative, under the direction of Dr. Ernest J. Wilson III (Director of the Center for Third Space Thinking at USC), focuses on connecting and educating diverse communities to foster positive social change through “Third Space Thinking” (TST). Based on extensive research with Fortune 500 executives, the program addresses a critical gap in traditional digital and STEM education by teaching the “ACE-IT” model—five core soft skills comprising Adaptability, Cultural Competency, Empathy, Intellectual Curiosity, and 360-Degree Thinking. The initiative aims to build communication bridges across different socio-economic strata, specifically linking urban high school students with corporate professionals so they can learn from one another rather than in a vacuum. To achieve this, the project identifies student and corporate participants, facilitates lasting mentorship relationships, and is developing digital assessment and mobile training tools specifically tailored to guide youth ages 13–21 toward greater self-agency and empathetic communication.
TTP Global Restorative Justice Initiatives
TTP Global expands access to restorative justice, healing, and conflict resolution through five core, community-serving programs sponsored by the InterCulture Foundation. The initiative features Fostering New Futures, a restorative arts mentorship and life-skills program developed with Lehigh University to support transitional-age youth exiting foster care or impacted by the justice system. To remove financial barriers to professional development and essential legal services, the Public Training Scholarship Fund subsidizes trauma-informed and racial literacy courses for educators and community members, while the Community Conflict Mediation Access Fund fully covers the cost of restorative mediation and harm circles for low-income families. Additionally, the initiative operates Restorative Diversion and Reentry Programs to reduce recidivism through court-appointed Impact Circles and employment readiness, alongside a Curriculum Development branch that builds and licenses low-cost educational tools for schools and nonprofits. Together, these programs combat systemic barriers, support vulnerable youth, and strengthen community accountability.
The Night’s Watch
The Night’s Watch is a San Francisco-based advocacy initiative dedicated to empowering the nightlife community to prevent and challenge sexual and gender-based violence at bars, nightclubs, and music festivals. Led by experienced nightlife safety advocate Elizabeth Dreeson, the project works across six key mission areas to foster safer entertainment environments. Through targeted community outreach, the organization models collective responsibility for venue staff, promoters, and patrons. It develops and delivers specialized training curriculum covering bystander intervention, trauma-informed response, consent culture, and compliance with California’s drink spiking laws. Furthermore, the project drives local and state policy advocacy, designs prevention tools like venue codes of conduct, and builds long-term, scalable safety infrastructure within the nightlife ecosystem. Rooted in a compassionate, survivor-centered approach, the program prioritizes discrete, non-police reporting options and provides ongoing resources for education and healing.
Oakland-Alliance
The Revitalizing Oakland Pilot is a community-driven initiative focused on neighborhood stabilization, historical preservation, and cross-cultural vocational learning in West Oakland. This pilot connects Danish carpentry students from Mercantec Vocational College with local youth from McClymonds High School and Laney Community College to complete vital community projects using volunteer labor and donated materials. The initiative centers on two initial projects: restoring a section of the historic DeFremery Mansion to support its transformation into a vibrant Black cultural and innovation center, and improving accessibility, safety, and dignity at “Hattie’s House,” the home of an elderly, mobility-impaired neighborhood resident. By uniting international and local students under the guidance of expert carpenters, the project combats community deterioration, bridges generational wealth gaps, and builds lasting community pride.
Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center (BEC)
The Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center (BEC) is an economic development initiative focused on promoting peace, prosperity, and global relevance for Bulgaria by positioning the country as a cultural and business bridge-builder. Capitalizing on Bulgaria’s unique geographic history as a centuries-old crossroads for diverse civilizations, the project seeks to build a strong national brand that stimulates foreign investment, tourism, and GDP growth while retaining top local talent. To achieve this, the initiative’s mission centers on drawing international attention to Bulgaria’s historic uniqueness, high literacy, and low cost of living; driving economic success by connecting local startups with global expertise, such as Silicon Valley mentorship, and expanding Bulgarian products into U.S. markets; and celebrating the nation’s multiculturalism by helping restore thousands of archaeological sites and promoting its rich history of religious tolerance and ethnic diversity.
Thracian Royal Genealogies
The Thracian Royal Genealogies project applies modern DNA science to uncover new insights into the Thracian ruling class and the everyday lives of the ancient Thracian people. By examining archaeological remains, the initiative aims to shed light on royal lineages, cultural identity, religious rites, diet, and ancient health and disease patterns. This scientific endeavor is designed to provide a major impetus to the field of Thracology while fostering national identity and pride within Bulgaria. To engage a broad audience, the project combines scientific testing with the creation of public educational materials—including a website, brochure, and a short video—to share these historical discoveries with scientists, museums, potential financial sponsors, and the public.
